When I was 6 years old I wrote a story. This story, in scrawling, almost unreadable handwriting, was called 'The Ghost Ship' and was the account of a pirate ship completely crewed by ghosts who came alive under the moonlight. Years later Disney would make a movie called Pirates of the Caribbean for which I am still to receive a single royalty cheque. Undeterred by the lack of success of 'The Ghost Ship' I continued to tell stories. Some tall, some short, some nonsensical.
Today I continue to make things up and write them down and while they are occasionally nonsensical I seem to have gotten the hang of it (more or less). I am currently working on my debut novel and a number of exciting graphic novel projects.
My handwriting still hasn't improved.
I also occasionally draw (badly), colour in things and take photographs.
